Credit
No Credit Check
For most of us, these are the three sweetest words in the English language. Having a credit score you aren’t proud of is something of an American tradition–I know guys earning six figure salaries who would rather undergo a quadruple wisdom tooth extraction than have their credit run.
Luckily, there are more and moreĀ no credit check options available for the American consumer. We are a culture and a nation obsessed with our credit–from annoying jingles on credit review commercials to people who obsessively check their credit score weekly, we seem to have credit sickness.
Here are some of the more astounding “no credit check” options available to the American consumer.
No Credit Check Loans
The very idea of a company giving someone a loan without checking their credit seems ludicrous, but it happens all the time. So called “signature loans” require no collateral and no credit check–consumers who take out these loans offer their signature on a promise to repay a loan and nothing more.
No Credit Check Banking
Believe it or not, there are some banks that offer their services to customers without a credit check. These online banking clearinghouses “shop around” for a bank that will accept you as a customer without a credit check.
No Credit Check Mortgages
Yes, you can get a mortgage without a credit check. You’ll pay dearly for the privilege, with interest rates much higher than mortgages secured with a credit check, but as a last-ditch effort, it may be your only option.
