What is Estrogen Dominance?
Estrogen dominance is essentially a state of hormonal imbalance in the female body, where the total concentration of estrogen exceeds that of progesterone. This condition is established when the estrogen levels tend to rise unabatedly or progesterone levels start dipping abnormally and when both these conditions exist simultaneously.
Estrogen dominance is usually found among women who are slowly progressing towards menopause, those who are diagnosed with genetic hormonal problems and those seeking hormonal therapy of some sort. During this condition, the overall health of the female is compromised, particularly her ability to reproduce. This is because her sexual health suffers under elevated estrogen levels. The menstrual cycles become highly disturbed and there is a greater chance of developing serious fertility deterrents like PCOS. This condition can cause vaginal dryness apart from impairing the health of uterine and vaginal tissues. This makes intercourse rather painful apart from impairing the body processes required for establishing pregnancy.

The Benefits of Classroom HIPAA Training
All members of a healthcare facility that come into contact with protected health information must understand the HIPAA privacy rule. HIPAA was implemented to protect the privacy rights of patients. The law requires the confidentiality and security of medical data. HIPAA mandates a regular review of all staff members concerning the privacy rules. The evaluation of the health providers is important as a violation of patient’s privacy may result in either monetary fines or sanctions.
Online HIPAA training courses are a great way to cover the basic summary of the HIPAA privacy rule. When an organization needs to train large groups, an onsite trainer is more effective. The aspects of the privacy and security issues that involve administrators and the information technology department are more complicated. This is where having everyone in the same room makes sense. Rather than having everyone interprets the rules in a different way, everyone is instructed in a thorough manner. Any questions are discussed for everyone to learn from the instructor. Security experts have practical knowledge in training the technical issues relating to electronic medical records and data security through assigning proper rights and password through a networked server.
Neuromuscular Diseases and Muscle Disease Myopathy
Muscle diseases myopathy can surface in many ways, among which neuromuscular diseases, i.e. those caused by an irregularity in the nervous system, are quite common.
A neuromuscular disease is essentially a secondary muscle disease. This means that it arises due to problem in the neurological pathway. This happens when the electrical impulses from the nerves are not properly conducted across to the skeletal nerves, causing problems in muscular movement.
Muscular Dystrophy is an inherited type of neurological muscle diseases. This is an inherited condition that can surface anytime between infancy and adulthood, i.e. it doesn’t have a defined onset pattern. Most children suffering from Muscular Dystrophy tend to show typical symptoms like impaired motor skills development and cramping of the muscles of the thighs, upper back, arms, shoulder and neck.
There are various types of Muscular Dystrophies such as Distal Muscular Dystrophy that is known to affect the distal muscles. These are the muscles of the lower arms and feet. Muscular dystrophies are highly progressive in nature and degenerative. This means they cause a gradual increase in the weakening of bodily movements eventually, the control over the voluntary muscles is almost, totally lost.
5 Most Anticipated Video Games of 2012
5 Most Anticipated Video Games of 2012
Get your GameStop coupons ready. 2012 looks to be another big year for video game sequels. The top five most anticipated video games of 2012 are all sequels or new stories built around popular games of years past.
Here’s a look at the 5 most anticipated video games of 2012.
5. Diablo 3
The release of this game has been delayed over and over again, driving anticipation for the newest version of Diablo to a fever pitch. A new graphics and 3d engine and new player classes are the features most Diablo fans are looking forward to, although you can expect Blizzard to have thrown in some other features that will make people as crazy for Diablo 3 as they were for Diablo 2.
4. Battlefield 3
Call of Duty eat your heart out. Some people claim disappointment after the latest trailer release, but the Battlefield series hasn’t disappointed in the past. EA always puts out great games, and the experience they gained from Bad Company 2, BFBC2: Vietnam and the most recent Medal of Honor have probably been put to good use. BF3 will use the popular Frostbite 2.0 engine, the same one found in BFBC 2: Vietnam.
3. BioShock: Infinite
The last BioShock game was a massive best-seller, moving more than 4 million units worldwide. BioShock: Infinite, with an announced release date sometime in 2012, offers some brand new game play versions. The producers promise dozens of new weapons and abilities. No doubt BioShock Infinite will be one of the best selling and best reviewed video games of 2012.
2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Deus Ex is endlessly replayable, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be an even better gaming experience according to early reports. In Human Revolution, the year is 2027, about 25 years before the other Deus Ex game. Human Revolution offers a new set of mechanical augmentations (in categories like Combat and Social) instead of the original Deus Ex’ nanotech augmentations. Think of this game like a low-tech Deus Ex.
1. Half-Life 2: Episode 3
First announced way back in 2006 and still in development, Episode 3 of Half-Life 2 is easily the most anticipated game of next year. 6 years in development means expectations are high, even though this isn’t a totally new game. Episode 3 is a continuation of the previous Half-Life story.
Video games are the new Hollywood–many games sell more units than tickets for the latest blockbuster. Companies are dumping millions of dollars into development, making video game entertainment the most popular and most expensive form of distraction. These five games are the ones making the biggest buzz in the video gaming community.
Top 10 Movie Psychopaths
This list doesn’t include any famous spaghetti westerns or dimwitted romantic comedies. Instead, it’s wall-to-wall horror films, the perfect setting for a movie psychopath to ply their trade. If you like to be scared, and one of the films starring these characters are guaranteed to make you jump out of your skin. Just don’t stay out of it too long, or one of the others may have themself a snack.
10 Great Movie Madmen
- Freddy Krueger – With his glove made out of knife blades, his fondness of stalking children, and his ability to manipulate dreams, Freddy Krueger has earned his status as one of the top movie madmen in countless movies. And I don’t care what anyone says, there’s only one Freddy Krueger: Robert Englund.
- Jason Voorhees – He started out as a frightened, deformed boy who accidentally drowned, but he would later return as an unstoppable killing machine with a fondness for hockey masks. His name is Jason Voorhees, and he’s racked up a higher body count than everyone else on this list put together.
- Michael Meyers – One of the “Big Three” when it comes to slasher movie killers, Michael Myers started killing at a young age and never stopped. He’s so deranged that his own psychiatrist tried to keep him locked up forever.
- Ghostface – A number of different characters have worn the costume of Ghostface in the Scream series, but their menacing phone etiquette and obsession with movie trivia still makes the killer a fan favorite.
- Hannibal Lecter – Brilliant and cultured, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) also happens to be a serial killer with a taste for human flesh. But thanks to the smooth delivery by Hopkins, we wind up rooting for him every step of the way.
- Norman Bates – He loves his mother and taxidermy, but the lonely Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) also has another passion: Killing any traveler unlucky enough to stumble across his motel. A classic movie psycho courtesy of Alfred Hitchcock.
- The Hitcher – Rutger Hauer starred as this hitchhiking psycho who might very well be the Grim Reaper in disguise. I had great fun watching him stalk a terrified teen (C. Thomas Howell) across the barren parts of the United States. One of the many cult classic movies that you may have passed by in your local video store.
- Leatherface – A member of a clan of Texas cannibals, Leatherface is depicted as somewhat mentally stunted. He sure knows how to operate a chainsaw, though, and his mask made of human skin provides proof of his willingness to kill.
- Jigsaw – While dying of cancer, a vengeful genius (Tobin Bell) decides to make others appreciate their lives by forcing them to face gruesome deaths. The franchise got old after a while, but the original still holds up and keeps your guessing.
- John Doe – An intelligent psychopath who crafts a series of brutal murders based on the teachings of the Seven Deadly Sins. His real strength comes from the fact that he’s portrayed with calculated creepiness by Kevin Spacey.
Most of the films on this list aren’t considered cult classics, as they made a profit at the box office and kept coming back for sequel after sequel. Yes, most were savaged by the critics, but sometimes getting a good scare is more important than quality dialogue or intricate direction.
2011-2012 Fantasy Football Picks
I love fantasy sports. My friends got me into NFL fantasy football, and now I play fantasy futbol, too. I’m hooked.
In this article, I’m going to give my top 2011-2012 fantasy football picks for the first three rounds in your local draft. I could post a whole list of rankings, but who’s going to read all that? I want to give you useful information, so I’ll focus a lot on three players. If you can snag two of the three, you’ll rule.
Each draft has its own flavor, but I’ve noticed certain players are falling a little further than they should in 2011 and you should be ready to pounce.
LeSean McCoy – Best 1st Round Bargain
LeSean McCoy was a top 3 or 4 performer last year. He’s still too young for injury concerns to become a factor, and he should in fact be getting better. As long as Michael Vick stays on the field, LeSean McCoy should be in a juggernaut of an NFL offense. Lesean McCoy has the personal talent and the players around him. LeSean McCoy is a touchdown threat and a reception machine. He’s got everything that makes for a good 1st round pick.
Rashard Mendenhall – Best 2nd Round Value
A lot of drafts will have Rashard Mendenhall drafted in the 1st round. But I’ve been in two where he slipped into the 2nd round. I personally have not always been completely happy with Rashard Mendenhall on my team. His numbers are solid by the end of the year, but they seem to come in bunches. What’s more, it’s hard to know when they happen. He was shut down by the Ravens once last year, then exploded in another game versus Baltimore. Two years ago, he posted 3 points against the Browns late in the season with fantasy playoff implications on the line.
But this should be Rashard Mendenhall’s biggest year. Mendenhall is only 24, so he’s still quite young. Roethlisberger is in his prime. Meanwhile, the Browns are still mediocre, the Bengals should be one of the worst teams in the league, and the AFC North is playing the NFC West. That means Rashard Mendenhall has games against the Cardinals Defense, the Niners Defense, the Rams Defense, and the Seahawks Defense. Add those to the Browns and Bengals games and that’s half the schedule. Rashard Mendenhall should be huge in 2011.
LeGarrette Blount – Best 3rd Round Value
I was tempted to make Jahvid Best the best 2011 fantasy football pick of the 3rd round, but the concussion he sustained in the 2nd game of the preseason reminded me that Best just isn’t likely to make it through a full NFL season without injury. LeGarrette Blount should only make improvements in his second year in the NFL. It was only a year ago, that Blount had been cut by the Titans after a training camp fight that reminded everyone of the incident which cost Blount his final season of college for the Oregon Ducks. When the Bucs picked him up, LeGarrette Blount was thought to be just another guy–maybe a practice squad player.
Then injuries and ineffectiveness happened to Cadillac Williams and Earnest Graham. With a young team, a young quarterback, and a young stud receiver, the Buccaneers decided to go with Blount as the primary ball carrier. He finished with just over 1,000 yards, but in less than 16 starts. In 2011-2012, LeGarrette Blount is ready to make a step forward on a young team which should only improve. Playing on grass should be good for his health, while playing down south for 8 games (and in Carolina once) and in domes for the 2 other division games, weather shouldn’t be as much of a factor late in the season in your fantasy playoffs. That adds up to a good third rounder.
Fantasy Football Picks in 2011
That’s just one person’s opinion. If you don’t want to take my word for it I suggest you check out these 10 fantasy football blogs and see if you prefer one of theirs. That’s the great thing about fantasy football: it’s a game about playing the odds. But even if the odds are stacked against you, occasionally that 10-2 offsuit of a fantasy football team….
Understanding the Effects of Vegan Diet
Due to the constant commercials, ad campaigns, magazines and media support there have been many individuals who have turned vegetarian. This is in pursuit of a way to reduce the calories that one is taking in and due to the idea that a vegan diet can result to a stronger and healthier body.
No one is born who is immediately a vegan. There is a transition at some point in one’s life and some have decided to do this because of religious teaching while some have perceived vegetarian lifestyle to be a good option for maintaining their weight. Eating meat can be construed as anti-religious, anti-planet and anti animals. It has also been seen as unhealthy by those who prefer to eat vegetables.
What are the effects of a Vegan Diet?
Contrary to popular belief, there is no sure way to detect whether people with strict vegetarian dieters are healthier than omnivores. Omnivores are individuals who eat vegetables and meat. Non meat eaters who skip eating eggs and other dairy products as well also suffer from medical problems just like individuals who continue eating meat.
According to studies, it would still be best to have a mixed diet, to make sure to get food that is unprocessed and not beyond the recommended portions in a day. Individuals who have low levels of iron, phosphorus, sodium, manganese, potassium and zinc have to maintain a balanced diet. This means that they must also take meat in their diet in order to make sure that they will not suffer malnourishment and other organ problems. Before going on a vegan diet one has to consult a medical professional to assess the possible health risks of changing the diet immediately.
Vegetables can also pose danger if they are not prepared correctly. They have to be washed clean in order to make sure that they do not contain harmful pesticides and microbes during the harvest time. There is also no major source of vitamin b12 in a vegan diet. In the years to come, a person with a strict vegan diet can deplete the Vitamin B12 reserve in their body and this can cause damage to the organs especially to children. It would be best to understand the effects of strict vegan diet before undergoing the process.

FSH Levels and Perimenopause
Perimenopause refers towards the period that leads as much as the genuine onset of menopause between women. Perimenopause is genuinely a normal transition period between women and it generally happens right after the age of 42-to-45. During this phase, quite a few simple female reproductive and sexual hormones like estrogen and progesterone levels increasingly dip.
The duration of Perimenopause between most women is between five and ten years. However, some hormones like FSH tend to rise as menopause approaches. This really is mainly because the pituitary gland strives difficult to revive the ovaries during the absence of adequate progesterone and estrogen. Decoding FSH levels Perimenopause is rather difficult and even the issues caused by it, for instance infertility or irregular menstruation, are very hard-to-diagnose. This really is mainly because some level of FSH decrease is rather expected.
However, when the FSH levels rise exponentially and menopause methods fast, FSH level Perimenopause is very probably to trigger infertility and make it nearly impossible for this kind of woman to conceive. The only method to resolve FSH level Perimenopause issues is to seek supplementary hormonal treatment wherein other female hormones like progesterone or estrogen are prescribed. The gradual improve during the concentration of this kind of hormones in turn helps to limit the quantity of FSH and thus, neutralize the anti-fertility affects of Perimenopause apart from slowing down the entire progress, i.e. the progression towards the menopause is impaired.
Why Olive Garden Offers Very Few Coupons
If you’re an Olive Garden fan, don’t bother looking for coupons. Sure, you can find a handful of printable Olive Garden coupons from online coupon sites like 8coupons.com or retailmenot.com, but you may have a hard time finding an Olive Garden restaurant that actually honors them. Olive Garden has always had a policy of printing menus with lower prices throughout the year as opposed to offering coupons that reduce the cost of your meal every now and then.
In some ways, this is a customer-friendly policy. The average meal at Olive Garden in 2010 came to just about $15 which is a great value even for a casual dining restaurant. Competitor chains, like Capital Grille and Carrabba’s, have prices $40-$60 higher per meal, a significant amount of money, especially in a weak economy.
Why does Olive Garden not offer coupons like many other restaurant chains?
The answer comes in three parts. The first part’s already been discussed above–Olive Garden puts a premium on lowering the cost of their menu items and wine list rather than issuing coupons for dollars off a single meal. Part of the appeal of Olive Garden is that the food is inexpensive compared to other restaurants in town. With antipasti ranging from $5 to $10, an entrees as cheap as $9, a meal at Olive Garden is already offered at the absolute lowest price the chain can afford.
The second reason for Olive Garden’s lack of coupons is good old tradition. Olive Garden was started as an experiment for food company General Mills in the early 80s. At that time, Italian restaurant chains just didn’t exist–Italian restaurants were standalone businesses, often low-cost pizza and pasta joints or high-end gourmet dining. Olive Garden was a test of the American taste for the middle of the road, casual dining Italian-American style restaurant. Coupons weren’t a part of the company then as a means of passing savings on to the menu. Olive Garden doesn’t offer coupons today because they’ve never really offered that many coupons.
The final reason for Olive Garden’s lack of coupons is public perception. Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden Restaurants, sees offering coupons as a cheapening of a franchise’s brand. None of their restaurants (including Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse) offer very many coupons for that reason. Darden Restaurants thinks that if they offered lots of Olive Garden coupons, people would think the food was less valuable.
Who Needs A Privacy Browser?
Who Needs A Privacy Browser?
I’d bet a good amount of money that you’re reading this article on a standard web browser. Most people aren’t very concerned about their online privacy, even though details about your browsing history and even your passwords and private banking data could be vulnerable to hacking.
The easy answer to the above question is that everyone who uses the Internet should be using a browser with privacy features. The Lockfox privacy browser is just one example of browsers with built-in privacy and security features. As more people do all of their banking and even store all their family photos and sensitive financial information online, the need for browsers with privacy features increases.
Some of the features on the Internet that I know the best–Internet games, email, and online banking, can lead to some of the more serious privacy and security problems. I’ve seen people fired or at very least reprimanded over the Internet games in their browser history at work. All that time you spent building your megafarm on Facebook’s Farmville costs your company money. Protect your Farmville addiction by using a privacy browser.
As for email, you’d be surprised how easy it is for someone to get your email username and password through your browsing activity at unsecured sites. Imagine the chaos that could come of someone getting access to your online banking information.
Privacy browsers come in many forms, from a simple Incognito option on Google’s popular Chrome browser to full-fledged anonymizers and other privacy features on more robust browsers like the aforementioned Lockfox. You don’t have to go too far out of your way to add a little bit of security and privacy to your online activities–being sure to clear your cookies and browsing history every day is a small way to turn your online activities a little more private.
Check out this directory for more information on Internet privacy. Already a major concern for most Internet users, expect privacy to become an even more valuable commodity as more and more of our everyday activities take place through wireless connections and websites.
